# Dashboards

Dashboards in ClickAI Tables

Create interactive ClickAI Tables dashboards to visualize business insights, track KPIs, and share dynamic reports with your team and stakeholders.

Dashboards in ClickAI Tables transform raw table records into intuitive charts, graphs, metrics, and summary cards arranged on a flexible grid canvas.

#### Ask ClickAI (AI-Powered Dashboard Generation) <a href="#user-content-ask-clickai-ai-powered-dashboard-generation" id="user-content-ask-clickai-ai-powered-dashboard-generation"></a>

You can leverage ClickAI's built-in natural language assistant to quickly generate and recommend dashboards. Example prompts:

> * *"Build a dashboard that summarizes \[Orders table]"*
> * *"Build a sales dashboard with total revenue, deals by stage, and monthly growth"*
> * *"Create a support dashboard showing open tickets by priority and assignee"*
> * *"Suggest an executive KPI dashboard for this base"*

### Getting Started <a href="#user-content-getting-started" id="user-content-getting-started"></a>

#### 1. Creating a Dashboard <a href="#user-content-1-creating-a-dashboard" id="user-content-1-creating-a-dashboard"></a>

1. In the left sidebar of your base, click **Create New** (or click the `+` icon).
2. Select **Dashboard** from the list of view & asset types.
3. *(Optional)* Enter a descriptive name for your dashboard (default is "Dashboard").
4. Click **Create Dashboard**. The dashboard editor will open immediately.
5. Click **Edit Dashboard** in the top bar to start placing widgets.

#### 2. Managing Dashboards <a href="#user-content-2-managing-dashboards" id="user-content-2-managing-dashboards"></a>

Click the `...` (more options) context menu on any dashboard in the sidebar to perform management tasks:

| Action                  | Description                                                                                                      |
| ----------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Rename dashboard**    | Change the display title of the dashboard.                                                                       |
| **Edit description**    | Add or update a summary description. Appears as a tooltip when users hover over the `i` info icon in the header. |
| **Duplicate dashboard** | Creates a duplicate copy with all widget placements and settings preserved.                                      |
| **Delete dashboard**    | Permanently removes the dashboard.                                                                               |

#### 3. Sharing Dashboards <a href="#user-content-3-sharing-dashboards" id="user-content-3-sharing-dashboards"></a>

Share dashboards with external clients, team members, or executive boards:

1. In the top navigation bar, click the **Share** button.
2. Turn on the **Enable Public Viewing** toggle.
3. Click **Copy link** to share the dashboard URL.

Anyone with this link can view the dashboard in real time without needing a ClickAI Tables account.

**Advanced Sharing Options:**

* **Custom URL**: Customize the link slug for clean, branded presentation.
* **Password Protection**: Restrict viewer access by requiring a password.
* **Embeddable View**: Embed the dashboard into third-party portals or internal web apps.

### Dashboard Layout Overview <a href="#user-content-dashboard-layout-overview" id="user-content-dashboard-layout-overview"></a>

1. **Top Navigation Bar**: Contains breadcrumbs, view mode/edit mode toggle, and the **Share** button.
2. **Widget Bar**: The top toolbar displaying all widget types ready to be added to the canvas.
3. **Dashboard Canvas**: The drag-and-drop workspace utilizing a responsive grid. Easily move, snap, and resize widgets to build customized layouts.
4. **Widget Configuration Panel**: The side panel on the right. When you select a widget, use this panel to configure data source tables, aggregate calculations (SUM, AVG, COUNT), grouping fields, filters, and color palettes.

ClickAI Tables provides a versatile set of widgets to meet diverse business intelligence needs:

| **Number (KPI)** | Displays key metrics, single numbers, targets, and percentage changes (e.g., Total Revenue, Active Users, Unresolved Tickets). |
| **Bar Chart**    | Compares categorical data and discrete values (e.g., Sales by Region, Leads by Source).                                        |
| **Line Chart**   | Visualizes trends, time-series data, and performance over time (e.g., Monthly ARR, Daily Signups).                             |
| **Pie Chart**    | Displays proportions and percentages of a categorical whole.                                                                   |
| **Donut Chart**  | A clean, modern variation of the pie chart with an open center suitable for centered summary totals.                           |
