# Integrations

### 1. English Version - Connect to an Integration <a href="#user-content-11-english-version---connect-to-an-integration" id="user-content-11-english-version---connect-to-an-integration"></a>

## Connect to an Integration in ClickAI Tables <a href="#user-content-connect-to-an-integration-in-clickai-tables" id="user-content-connect-to-an-integration-in-clickai-tables"></a>

Create and manage external connections in ClickAI Tables, such as relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or communication services (Twilio).

Users with the **Workspace Owner** or **Workspace Creator** role can create a new connection in ClickAI Tables.

***

#### How to Create a New Connection <a href="#user-content-how-to-create-a-new-connection" id="user-content-how-to-create-a-new-connection"></a>

1. In the left workspace sidebar, click **Integrations**.
2. In the integration catalog, click the service you want to connect to. A configuration modal will open.
3. Enter the required credentials and configuration parameters:
   * PostgreSQL
   * MySQL
   * Twilio
4. Alternatively, go to **Manage** > click **Add Connection**, then choose the service from the dropdown menu.
5. Once saved, your active connection will appear on the **All connections** overview page.

### 2. Database Integrations <a href="#user-content-database-integrations" id="user-content-database-integrations"></a>

#### PostgreSQL Connection <a href="#user-content-postgresql-connection" id="user-content-postgresql-connection"></a>

To connect an external PostgreSQL database to ClickAI Tables, provide the following details:

1. **Connection Name**: A friendly display name for this connection within ClickAI Tables.
2. **Database Connection Details**:

   * **Host Address**: Hostname or IP address of your PostgreSQL server.

   * **Port Number**: Port number (default is `5432`).

   * **Username**: Database user (default is `postgres`).

   * **Password**: Password for the database user.

   * **Database** *(Optional)*: Name of the PostgreSQL database.

   * **Schema Name** *(Optional)*: Name of the target schema (e.g., `public`).

   > **Note**: Database name and Schema name are optional during initial connection creation. When defined, they serve as default values when creating new data sources under this connection.
3. **Connection Parameters**: Add any extra key-value connection parameters if required by your hosting provider (e.g., AWS RDS, Supabase, Neon).
4. **SSL Mode**: Enable SSL if your server requires encrypted TLS/MTLS connections:
   * **Client Certificate**: Upload the client certificate file (`.crt`/`.pem`).
   * **Client Key**: Upload the private key file (`.key`).
   * **Root CA**: Upload the Root Certificate Authority file (`ca.crt`).
5. **Test Database Connection**: Click to verify connectivity before saving.
6. **Create Connection**: Click to save the connection.

> **Tip - Connection URL**: You can paste a full connection string (e.g. `postgresql://user:password@host:port/database`) into the **Connection URL** tab to auto-populate all fields.
>
> **Advanced Options**: Click **Advanced Options** to inspect and customize the configuration in raw JSON format (such as setting custom `servername` for certificate validation or connection pooling limits).

#### MySQL Connection <a href="#user-content-mysql-connection" id="user-content-mysql-connection"></a>

To connect a MySQL database to ClickAI Tables, provide the following details:

1. **Connection Name**: The name shown in the ClickAI Tables workspace.
2. **Database Connection Details**:
   * **Host Address**: Server hostname or IP address.
   * **Port Number**: Port number (default is `3306`).
   * **Username**: Database user (default is `root`).
   * **Password**: Password for the database user.
   * **Database** *(Optional)*: Target database name.
3. **Connection Parameters**: Additional key-value configuration options.
4. **SSL Mode**: Enable SSL toggle if TLS encryption is required:
   * **Client Certificate**
   * **Client Key**
   * **Root CA**
5. **Test Database Connection**: Check that ClickAI Tables can reach the database.
6. **Create Connection**: Save your connection.

> **Tip**: Connection URL format `mysql://user:password@host:port/database` is supported for instant setup.

### 3. Communication Integrations <a href="#user-content-communication-integrations" id="user-content-communication-integrations"></a>

#### Twilio <a href="#user-content-twilio" id="user-content-twilio"></a>

Connect Twilio to enable automated SMS notifications and workflow alerts directly from ClickAI Tables.

1. **Integration Name**: Name for this integration instance (e.g., "Customer SMS Gateway").
2. **Authentication Type**: Select **API credentials**.
3. **Account SID**: Enter your Twilio Account SID (found in the [Twilio Console](https://console.twilio.com/) under **Account Info**).
4. **Auth Token**: Enter your Twilio Auth Token. Keep this token confidential.
5. **Test Connection**: Click **Test connection** to validate API authorization.
6. **Create Integration**: Click to save.

> **Note for Trial Accounts**: Twilio trial accounts can only send messages and place calls to verified phone numbers registered in your Twilio Console.

### 4. Availability & Permissions <a href="#user-content-availability--permissions" id="user-content-availability--permissions"></a>

* **Shared Workspace Access**: Connections do not have individual user ownership. All workspace members with appropriate permissions can utilize established connections.
* **Workspace Creator / Owner**: Can create, edit, duplicate, test, and delete connections.
* **Base Creator+**: Can link existing database connections when creating new data sources in bases.
